Agreement between Cambridge Bumps & Seller

We will provide you with a copy of this agreement when you give us details of the clothes you would like us to sell. We ask you to read it and to sign to say you have read and understood it when you give us your maternity clothes. Please read it carefully and ensure that you understand all of the terms and conditions.

General agreement

This is an agreement between Cambridge Bumps, Registered Company No. 6430597, and the seller. Cambridge Bumps agrees to market and promote the maternity clothes provided by the seller and described in the clothes list provided by the seller. The seller will receive 50% of the selling price at the time of the sale and this will be paid on a quarterly basis.

Duration of agreement & key times

This agreement will last for eight months and thereafter until clothes are sold by Cambridge Bumps, collected by the seller or disposed of in accordance with the disposal clause below. We will market your clothes for the full eight-month period. After three months, we may reduce the price by up to 25%. After a further three months, we may reduce the price by up to 50% of the original selling price and after one month more, we may reduce the price to a price at which we feel the item would sell. At our discretion, we may also reduce the selling price if we feel that the item's condition warrants this or to ensure a sale. If we accept out-of-season items, we may be prepared to maintain an item's original selling price for a longer period. So if we accepted summer skirts and dresses in September, we may be prepared to agree to keep your item at full price for a longer period of time until they are likely to sell.

We will send you a statement after three months detailing what items have sold and including your payment after commission on sales made within the previous three-month period (excluding sales made within the ten days prior to the statement date which may be eligible for a refund if the buyer chooses to claim one) providing that the payment due to you exceeds £30 or that all of your items have been sold. If the payment due is less than £30, it will be paid with the next statement.

After the eight month period expires, we will send you a final statement (including a final payment if due) and we will advise you if any of your clothes are unsold. We will ask you to collect these clothes from us within 28 days or to let us know if you would like us to dispose of the clothes.

This agreement may be terminated by Cambridge Bumps or by the seller giving the other party one month's written notice. If the seller chooses to withdraw any item from sale during the period of the agreement, half of the commission due to Cambridge Bumps will be payable. (If you are selling an item for £10, you would be asked to pay £2.50 which would cover some of the costs incurred by Cambridge Bumps for labellng, marketing and storing your clothes).

Condition of clothes

We sell new and nearly-new clothes. All clothes should be in very good condition, washed and ironed (except for non-iron clothes and items such as swimsuits). Items which need washing or ironing are subject to a £1.00 charge per item which will be deducted from any commission due to you. All clothes should have buttons and zips intact and should not be in need of repair. Any clothes that are found to be in poor condition or in need of repair may be removed from sale or reduced in price.

We only accept maternity and nursing clothes. Even if you have other clothes that fitted you during pregnancy, we are not able to accept them for sale. We accept swimwear and brand-new underwear and tights (in original packaging/with labels attached). We reserve the right to decline the sale of some items of clothing that you may ask us to sell. This may be because the clothing is the wrong season, or the condition is not good enough or because of the type of item it is (for example, we may have lots of pairs of jeans to sell and no room to store any more at that time). But please talk to us about this. We are willing to accept out-of-season items.

Insurance

All goods left with us are at your risk and are not insured against fire, water, burglary or accidental damage. We wil take great care of them, though!

Privacy

Any information collected about you will be held in confidence and will not be passed to any third parties.
