Ring Slings Ring slings are made from a long strip of material usually woven fabric, hemmed and threaded through two rings which allow you to adjust the sling. Your baby can lie in the sling or can be carried upright and your older baby/toddler can be carried on one hip. Some ring slings have padding on the shoulder and/or along the hemmed edges. This is down to personal choice as padding can make the sling more comfortable but less adjustable.
